About the Work

In Waiting, I focus on a solitary figure absorbed in a private gesture against an expansive orange field. I am interested in the emotional weight of an ordinary interval rather than a dramatic event. Posture, colour and spatial isolation create a sense of suspension, while visible marks retain the physical process of painting. The work forms part of my wider exploration of stillness, solitude and everyday psychological space.
