About the Work
Shared Silence reflects on distance, change and longing for home. I developed the work through my experience of living between cultures and places, using an intimate figurative scene to consider the space between solitude and human connection. The closeness of the figures sits alongside a sense of emotional distance, allowing memory, vulnerability, resilience and belonging to coexist within the same image.
